Ginger Fitness! What is it all about...

Hello all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year. I want to take this opportunity to welcome all our new comers and to all our returning members I want to wish you all the best for the year coming. I don’t have any set topic in mind, so if your looking for some pieces of wisdom about a particular topic I will point you to a previous blog, and if there’s a subject you have in mind I would love to hear any questions you have and I will look at tackling it in a future blog.


One thing I do wish to cover however is once again explain the ideas behind our philosophy, why we take the approach we do, and what different options we have on offer at Ginger Girls Food & Fitness. This was brought about by the ever-increasing popularity of the Sculpt program and of course the 6-week shred has returned and is looking as popular as ever. As we now have 5 different options to offer all our members I’m going to do a quick break down on what each one is, and then I’ll finish with my best locker room speech to try and motivate you all as you set new goals for 2023, and maybe even help you realise some new ones for the year along the way.


Let’s start with our bread and butter…


Accountability


This is the main product we offer at Ginger Girls Food & Fitness and where you will find the majority of our members. The aim of accountability is to promote the healthiest lifestyle based on all the research we have done over many years. This is what sets us apart from other slimming clubs, we don’t look for any quick fixes, but instead we look to promote a lifestyle change of healthy eating habits backed with finding exercise that you love, although the exercise is promoted throughout every group we do, and should be part of anyone’s healthy lifestyle, it all started with accountability. There is a little less options then other groups, but a lot more then the shred, this plan should be something that can last a lifetime, and if you want to live the healthiest lifestyle possible, this is the plan for you. If you have a lot of weight to lose, or any weight to lose for that matter, this is the group you should be joining.


Train & Track


Although accountability is the best place for long term weight loss, and can be used to maintain as well if you wish to alter your calories and stay there, there has to be life after accountability as well, maintaining in accountability is a great option but it wasn’t for everyone. As members reached their goal, and the motivation to remain on plan 24/7 dropped, Sophie felt maintenance in accountability just wasn’t cutting it for everyone, and out of that Train & Track was born. Train and track allows members to be more open and honest about their food choices, we all love a treat from time to time, our busy lifestyles can get in the way or celebrations may call for more the traditional on plan treats, Train and Track promotes a balanced lifestyle based on the 80/20 rule, with 80% of calories being on plan, and 20% being whatever you like. This way you still get all the benefits of the accountability plan, but with enough free food to keep you on track. You are able to lose weight using this method as well, however for best results, accountability should be where you start, then moving to this group afterwards.


6-week shred


The newest addition to our product line is the 6-week shred. I like to think of this group as our own version of tough mudder, except this isn’t over and done with in 4 hours. We challenge you physically and mentally, and although the weight loss alone is motivation enough for some to join, believe me, if you get through the shred, your own self belief and you own perception of what you can achieve will take a massive boost. With a drop-out rate of around 40%, it isn’t for the faint hearted. You receive personal challenges to push yourself, and you have to work as a team to over come the challenges your shred master will throw at you. The food is restricted; however, it is designed to keep you running on all cylinders and you should never be low on energy following this food plan. Failure to stick to the plan though will result in a strike, get 3 of these and its back to accountability with you! I recommend everyone try the shred at some point, and it doesn’t just have to be about weight loss either, this is open to anyone who wants to challenge themselves! Speak to anyone who has completed it, even they want to come back for more!


The sculpt


My personal favorite, and if you keep an eye on our Facebook page its easy to see why. If your goals in the fitness industry was a job, then I would be a bodybuilder by trade, and I have so much to thank for my love for it, mainly all the knowledge it has led me to discover, both for diet and exercise, and even more so the people I have met along then way, including my wife Sophie. Bodybuilding has shaped so much of who I am today, so when Sophie mentioned we could start the sculpt program, I was elated! This group is of course about building muscle! You can eat more, you get to hit weights, and surprisingly to a lot of women who join, you are able to attain your dream physique! Weights is what will help you stay more active into the later years of your life, and look good doing it too! Granted this isn’t for everyone, it helped 13 year old Aaron to shape his life, it could help 50 year old Sandra as well, or you might find that purpose in accountability, but this is what we love about Ginger Girls, there’s a place for everyone, and just like accountability, Sculpt isn’t a short term fix, the results will only stay around as long as the hard work does, which leads me into my new favorite quote, “If the changes aren’t permanent, then the results will be temporary” Aaron Lowe, 2023. You can stick that on a t-shirt if you want.


Bald Boys Food & Fitness


How can I forget about the lads! The Bald boys members get the best of everything with me as your supreme leader. I like to prioritize weights with the lads to help maintain or build muscle whilst working on all the same nutrition principles! They still have access to all the same amazing classes as the women, but as you lot can be a little intimidating, the plans to build muscle become priority. This whole group is really the blueprint for how i live my life and what has got me to where I am now. I pride myself on the support his brings to its members and isn't always just about food and gym, the ones who stick around are good mates and we take every opportunity to be social, just like the ladies with Gingers! Every single branch of Gingers is an extension of myself and Sophie, and this honest no nonsense approach is what has brought Gingers the success it has achieved so far.



That ties up my round up of the groups, and you can see there’s an option for you no matter what your goal is, one thing I can promise you with your time at Ginger Girls, your motivation here will be 1000 times higher then it would be if you go it alone, we aren’t happy with just taking your money and letting you fade into the background, your going to get some hard truths you don’t always want to hear, and we are willing to upset the apple cart in order to get you the place you want to be. You join us with a goal in mind, and every single person who has anything to do with Gingers won’t be satisfied until you reach that goal! If you start half arsing it, your going to hear from someone, if you go quiet, we’re going to contact you, and if you push back, we’ll simply remind you of the person that reached out and asked us for help. These are hard truths you might hear from us, but once upon a time, you wanted our help, just because you might be in a different head space from when you joined up, I guarantee your goals deep down won’t have changed, and it won’t be long before you find yourself looking in the mirror and back in that head space of wanting to make a change, I hope you’re closer to your goal then before, I hope you have more knowledge then before, and most of all, I hope you’re more willing to listen to our help and advice then before. This doesn’t apply to everyone, but the people who this might sound familiar, just let us help you, we’re on a mission to make the nation healthier.


To everyone else, lets make the most of the opportunity before you, don’t be the person in your group watching everyone else smash their goals and your stood still, immerse yourself in everything we have to offer. Time is going to pass you by regardless, make the most of it, let’s make 2023 your year, and your journey might just be the reason someone decided to make that positive change and nothing feels better then being someone’s positive inspiration.
